this app was built by one person who liked the word "cockroach". it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or related to the cockroach janta party or any political organization, religious organization, business, ngo, or government body. we do not sell your data. ever.

· what this app is

a quiet, anonymous emotional weather forecast. you drop a feeling on a map. the map shows the world's emotional weather for the last 4 hours. once a night, at 9pm india time, there is one shared question; you can answer it, read what others answered, and by 10:01pm the room is gone. no followers. no dms. no upvotes. no algorithm pushing you to engage. it is intentionally boring.

the app is built and operated from india. servers are in mumbai; the operator's home country is india. you can use the app from anywhere, but the operator's law and courts (see below) are indian.

· what we expect from you

• be 18 or older. by signing in, you confirm this.
• be the only person using your google account on the app.
• don't post slurs, sexual content, threats, doxxing, phone numbers, identity documents (aadhaar, passport, ssn, or equivalents), financial details, or anything illegal in india or in your local jurisdiction — whether as the optional sentence on a feeling drop or as a tonight-room answer. server-side filters block obvious cases; report tooling exists for the rest.
• don't pretend to be someone else, including by writing as a real-world person, brand, or organization.
• don't try to game the map (multiple drops to skew an area), the profile counters, or the rate limits.
• don't scrape, automate, mirror, or run scripts against the app, the api, or the firestore database.
• don't try to deanonymize other cockroaches based on what they wrote or where they dropped.

· what we may do

• hide your content (a feeling sentence or a tonight-room answer) if it gets reported or trips a server filter.
• suspend or terminate your account for repeated or serious violations — temporarily or permanently — at the operator's discretion.
• change features, rate limits, the questions in the 9pm room, the map's appearance, or this document. if something material changes, the in-app banner will tell you and you may be asked to accept the updated terms again.
• shut down the service. this is an experiment. if it stops being useful, or starts costing more than it returns, we may close it. we will give notice in the app banner before shutdown where reasonably possible.

· your content

the only things you write inside the app are: (a) the optional one-sentence note attached to a feeling drop, and (b) your one answer in the 9pm question room. you own what you write. by posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, india-region license to display it inside the app to other signed-in cockroaches — that's the whole point of the app. we won't republish your content outside the app. the license ends when the content is deleted: feeling-sentences are tied to the 4-hour map window, tonight's answers are hard-deleted at 10:01pm ist, and account deletion erases anything still tied to your account.

· deletion

you can delete your account at any time from profile → delete account. it's a hard delete: your handle, your city, the two profile counters, your push token, your owner-only private records, and your sign-in are erased in one server call. no backups are kept. full details on the privacy page.

· no warranty

this is an experimental side project, provided "as is", with no guarantee that the app will be available, accurate, secure, free from bugs, free from interruption, or fit for any particular purpose. nothing in this app is medical advice, mental-health advice, professional advice, or a crisis service. if you are in crisis or feel unsafe, please reach out to a licensed professional. in india you can call iCALL (9152987821) or aasra (9820466726); the in-app crisis screen lists current helplines. outside india, please use a local helpline; befrienders.org/find-help maintains a global directory.

· liability

to the extent allowed by indian law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from your use of the app, including data loss or service interruption. you use the app voluntarily, at your own risk.

· governing law and disputes

these terms are governed by the laws of india. any dispute arising from or in connection with the app is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of hyderabad, telangana.
